with the dog we adopted from the shelter today.



We're not completely decided on a name yet, but we've been interested in this smart black puppy for a while now and after meeting him again today, we decided to take him home.

We've been looking for a dog for a year now, but we waited for the right dog and I'm so glad we did.

He seems to like us too. I think he's happy that he found a forever home.

I suggest snuggles, if only because he looks snuggly.

Name it Ted. The dog looks really friendly and, as you say, smart. I dare say he could hold his own in checkers.

We have a few names we're trying out, just to see what sounds best and if there are any he responds to better. He was fostered as a little puppy, and I can't believe how trained he already is. Someone did the harder work already, and for that I'm grateful.

He's substantially fuzzier now that he's bathed, but I can't get him to hold still long enough for a decent picture. We're going for a walk in an hour or whenever it gets light out, and I'm sure he'll be a bit more settled after that.

Name him Checkers!

Mixed breeds are the best dogs and one from the shelter is even better.

We had a great Shepherd Lab mix for 8 years now and he's the smartest dog we've ever had by far.

On the other hand it might have something to do with us being in our dotage.
