The Birth of the Arts
The Birth of the Arts
throughout human history and around the world, our species has displayed an undying impulse to create art—to adorn ourselves, our artifacts, and our surroundings; to make music, dance, dramatize, and poeticize. And we often spend vast quantities of time, energy, and material resources doing so. What lies behind the age-old, persistent human urge to make the ordinary extraordinary? picked by 2manyusernames 4 months ago

Art is, simply put, the expression of consciousness on reality.

Yeah, I agree, but it needs a little explanation. I would go even further. Art in my opinion is the extension of the person.
"Two points that are very important points to remember and ask: Is it real and does it work? "
--Edward T. Hall
Edward T. Hall. in 1976 wrote a book with the title: Beyond Culture. He used there the example of the bowerbirds to explain what extension and extension transfer is and how it works. In any case as far as art falls in the category of extension transfer (i.e. mostly) it changes the fitness of the participants; of course I mean here asymptotic biological fitness not physical fitness. Best is to think of it as a syn-ecological concept: the ecological interrelationship between the future society and the organism.
So even if it is not sexual in immediate nature, one could easily argue that it is part of our sexual evolution.

As a special art form, the art of behaviorism plays an important role in the history of art. When it was introduced to China, it has been rejected in China by the beauty appreciation of elegant art form and popular art form.
