It was written decades ago with different standards.

The word f****t is in there but in an empowering way. It laughs at those who are denouncing a rock star such as Elton John for being gay. Remember he may be gay, he may even have a earring but he also has a jet airplane and is a millionaire.

Yes but it's a contradictory lyric anyway as they talk about the f****t getting money for nothing and the chicks for free.

You took the words right out of my mouth. They might use a derogatory term against that rockstar, but the rest of the song tells you they want to be just like said rockstar. I wonder if the person making the complaint is gay or just wanted to be a d**k.

Please. This is Canada. They banned the song "If I had $1,000,000" because it mentioned that buying a fur coat was cruel.

*Edit: I forgot to mention that it was amusing when this happened because the name of the group is "barenaked ladies" which apparently didn't offend.

So Canada, the land protecting seal clubbing, has a issue with fur coats?!

Yeah...it's not cruel. As we know if animals wanted to keep their fur they wouldn't go around flaunting it like they do.

Then it's time to eliminate any songs containing such words as "fudge" "munching" "packing" and "carpet"
