 Research suggests winds dying down
Research suggests winds dying down
The wind, a favorite power source of the green energy movement, seems to be dying down across the United States. And the cause, ironically, may be global warming - the very problem wind power seeks to address. picked by kakana 9 months ago

You know what I'm sick of?
The below average temperatures we've been having where I live for the past year.
Stupid global "warming".

You do realize that 'global warming' doesn't necessarily mean that YOUR neighborhood will get warmer, right?

...It's global. Think bigger. So your temperatures could fall because of climate changes in other places....

Plenty of wind here in Nor.Cal. Unseasonable weather. Should be 90 every day, it's not.(not that I'm complaining)

Actually if you look at the scientific research, it is no longer "global warming"...but "global climate change." Because not everyone is getting hotter.

Right, they changed the terminology because people were getting confused.

Overall, there is a warming trend. But that doesn't mean that weather from place to place is warmer. In some cases, the warming trend means that location gets colder...

"They" never changed the term. Al Gore just got a hold of "Global Warming" and ran with it. It was "climate change" for us for years in science lecture halls...

But yes, that's the idea - some places will get warmer, some colder, some wetter, some drier, some jettisoned off the planet... okay, I made that last one up.

I blame those damn mammoths, they caused all the fuss the last time.

Oh, and Al Gore this time.
